Symptom: Transmission is Slipping
Automatic: The engine revs up during shifts as the throttle is depressed, however the car does not accelerate.
The more you press on the gas pedal, the more noticeable the problem is.
Manual: As you step on the clutch, the engine revs, but the car does not accelerate.
The clutch seems to be slipping. This problem gets worse with time and should be taken care of immediately to prevent additional damage to the clutch assembly.
Possible Cause:

- Fluid level is low or incorrect type of fluid
- There is an internal problem in the transmission
- Electrical controls are failing
- Clogged transmission filter
Manual: Clutch slippage will cause clutch surface damage. If not fixed, slipping will result in major repairs.
